Just connected to the web site. The Home page did not display the "User Menu" but displayed "Who's Online". Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |

Looking for the login boxes that were once a part of the left-hand menu? See top-right corner of page above the search box!

Who's on-line should not be displayed for "Guests". Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |

Ah, right, OK. Perhaps, but if who is online shouldn't displayed for guests then perhaps the basic event information also shouldn't be displayed for guests.

It's pretty standard for forums to show who's online, whether you're logged in or not. What are people going to do, tell your boss you were online during work hours?!

These various menus can be collapsed and expanded as you wish, so if you want to see "user menu" expand that and if you don't want to see the "shout-box" collapse that. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

I did not notice that it had been moved to the very top right hand corner. No message to members about the change. Regards Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |

I added the top menu option as an experiment alongside the existing log-in option, which was why there was no need to tell anybody. However, it seems an administrator has jumped to the wrong conclusion and removed it from the left! Apologies for that. However, I note that you managed to log in anyway so it can't be all that bad. It's actually great that everything is there in one place allowing one to just scroll the page and no-doubt find what one wants to see/find. Some websites have a whole multitude of menus at the top with further links from them to other things...and then even further links elsewhere (even in the footer!). That said though, I don't really see the need for the Upcoming Events item.
