Noted F2 shows a train standing in P3 at Hatton as located at Warwick (not Parkway). I would have expected the location to have updated after the train cleared tc T236. Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |

Was the train passing through non-stop? If so then I think it has to actually pass the station before it updates.

Yes Uk. The F2 seems rather restricted. The driver was ringing at Hatton station because of a red signal. Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |

Hi I suspect, and someone who knows more about the coding of the sims may like to correct me if I'm wrong, that the F2 screen is based on the locations used in the actual reporting system in use on the railway, "TRUST". This is perhaps not the most up to date system, and doesn't necessarily get updated as track layouts change and new stations open. Indeed, it was axiomatic on New Street station never to trust "TRUST". For example, when I worked on the railway in the mid-2000's, it was possible to ask TRUST to produce an itinerary for a journey from Birmingham New Street to Paris without changing trains, based on the postulated (but non-existant) North of London Eurostar service...
