This morning I was logged on at 3am GMT and noticed that the statistics showed 548 guests and 1 member. Looking at the Index revealed only 1 member, 0 guests in the Forum. One wonders what the 548 guests were actually doing on the site. Playing a sim or "tiddlywinks"? Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |

It's the number of unique IP addresses that have requested something from the website in the last 45 minutes. Perhaps the forum has its own list which would be a subset of the site list.

I rarely log-off as such, but I think just switching off your computer is sufficent to be registered as not logged-on. If it were otherwise then I'd be showing logged-in three times. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

If there is no activity then a user gets logged out after a while - same 45 minutes I think.
