My memory was playing tricks on me, it's a train arrived button.

I spoke to Exmouth Jnc today and there's no offer button. Operating the switch for Signal 2 automatically offers the train onto Honiton provided Honiton's switch is in the accept position.

Was it BR(W) Tokenless Block that worked Hatton West to Bearley West in the days of Saltley PSB and Bearley Junction SB?

Just thought I'd post a couple of pics to help anyone else with this problem.

2L66 is stationary and facing 2L43, which has just appeared. The slot button is flashing!

In actual fact, if you check the Train List, you will find that the reason for 2L66's zero speed is not that 2L43 is blocking it, but that it has actually stopped at Whimple or Feniton as part of its TT.

Furthermore, although 2L43 appears to be "blocking" it, it is actually off the single line, at a platform loop at Honiton, waiting for 2L66 to pass by. DON'T click the slot button to accept it until 2L66 has disappeared.

Sure enough, if we wait a little while, 2L66 magically vanishes from the TC'd section, leaving 2L43 there with the slot light still flashing.

I know space considerations are important when designing a panel, but if the Honiton berth was to one side such as 1M28's shown below, this visual confusion wouldn't have arisen in the first place.

Have a look at this photo on the excellent Danny Scroggin's site to see what the real panel has.
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Thanks Andy, but I have to say it doesn't resemble the Exeter panel much at all. Anyway, it's a real panel, so this gives SimSig developers extra leeway for being creative and less confusing here.

It isn't part of the Exeter panel signal box. Exmouth Junction is a separate box.
