When was it? It was at a London meet. The females were not part of the meet, nor hired help.

Maybe the females was not part of the meet or hired help but looks a great improvement to the usual suspects

I believe that was the Indian just around the corner from Old Street after the first London meet, or may have been the second. We used that restaurant two years running.

On the left starting at the back we have Kurt, Mike W?, Clive, Jingos, Gonzo (I think - not seen/heard from him for years), Mike Miles (Original Swindon Developer). Right side I think Pascal, then me, Don't know, Geoff, Mrs Mayo, Mrs Mayo's friend.

First meeting was in Bristol in March but which year- I was looking to try and complete the list here but got stuck.

However working back
2011 and 2010 Liverpool St and we were at the other place 3 times so that would take us back to 2007 I think.
So July 2007? So would that make the first meeting March 2007 in Bristol?

Maybe Tim can do his rewind thing and find some old pages of the previous forum?

Given it some though and this is what I've come up with

200720082009201020112012

MarchBristolPBOYRKPBOWak'fldLivSt

JulyArt-ArmsArt-ArmsArt-ArmsLivStLivStNCL

NovDBY1DBY1DBY1DBY1DBY2

But I was sure we had a second Bristol, which I was not at, so maybe we started in 2006 and had 4 at the Artillery Arms.

Looking back on the Web Archive confirms my recollection that the first meet was in Bristol in March 2006 (although my first meet wasn't until Peterborough in March 2008), so we must have had four meets in the Artillery Arms, and you need an extra 2006 column the same as the 2007 column to finish the table off, Peter. I guess that puts that photo in July 2006, then?

Ah, the Wayback Machine - a wonderful beast of a machine. Reminds me of how the website first looked when I discovered SimSig (through a link on another railway-related website), but when I came round to registering it had all changed to roughly how it looks now!

Bashed in the www.SimSig.co.uk URL and for 2007 the website was only crawled once, on Saturday 28th July 2007. Have had a quick look at the forum from then but can't find anything? Maybe someone else could have a thorough look?!

Whilst you're on that forum link, the area at the top of the page shows you when the website was crawled previously, so you may find them useful (perhaps interesting, too).

Hope this helps.

Thanks Tim, digging back through that link shows a March 2006 Bristol and then a 2007 as well. Looks like there was a 2006 London but maybe no November meet.

Using Tim's link, I've found the signup for November 2006, the first Derby meet...

See...

When was the Bristol meet in the dark, dingy vaulted ceiling room? I couldn't attend that one, so the date slips my mind...

Up dated the page- anyone know how to "word-wrap" so it has the venue under the location rather than after?

I think the 2007 Bristol must have been the dark and dingey one- I was not there but I recall it was supposed to be a shed next the station.

Can't recall the pub names for Peterbouough, York or Wakefield.

The pub for both Peterborough meets was the Brewery Tap. Also, this page on the wiki has Henry Boons as the pub for Wakefield. Unfortunately I couldn't make the York meet so I don't recall that one.

Thanks,

Turned the table and it looks a bit better and is more future-proof.
Some gaps still to fill but pretty much what I was looking to do ages ago.

Yep, was the Brewery Visitors' centre - Chris Lord will remember as he was there from USA but his baggage was somewhere else.

Edit, have corrected London 2010 from AArms to Railway Tavern, as it was our first visit there with Peter's Macsims for a second outing after their debut at PBO 2010

The Bristol meet was held at the Knights Templar around the corner from Temple Meads station.
For those that remember who could forget that day's running joke Norman kember. The Link would confirm the date as being 25th March 2006.

Ah yes....It was stuck in New Jersey....I remember that....LOL. Our flight into Newark was delayed for various reasons and we ended up missed the onward flight to Birmingham. The queue for help was quite long and we wanted an answer quickly as it was getting late and we wanted to make sure we could get another flight that night so the guy in front of us in the queue, who was also in the same boat as us, got his wife to call Continental directly. After some to-ing and fro-ing, we found out we were already booked on the next flight to Birmingham......which is OK until they said it was 24 hours later!!!

This was unacceptable as we didn't fancy spending a entire day of our holiday stuck in an airport for something not our fault. After some pestering, they put us on a later flight on Virgin but going to London instead of Birmingham. As it turned out, this was one of the best transatlantic flights we've ever had. The only downside was despite assurances from Virgin that they would get our bags from Continental they never did arrive......

Originally, my wife and I were both going to York together but as we didn't have any clothes, my wife elected to stay behind so I went up there on my own with only the clothes I had on essentially......and I ended up sharing a room for the weekend so thanks to Panelbeater for putting up with me. Good times.....

Bristol 2007 in March was correct as we had the Meet on St Patricks Day in the "Irish Club or Railway Club"

I believe there was an unofficial "drinks meet" in Bristol the year before at the "Spoons" by the station

We had a London meet in 2006 at the AArms this being my first meet along with Chris Lord
