I've just noticed the navigation bar has disappeared from the top of the forum, and I'm having to use the one at the very top of the page to move between views, as well as post new topics. I hope this isn't a permanent alteration. Seems a Kunena upgrade issue, several other sites with the same problem. All the links are still there in the top menu so one does wonder how repeating the menu is useful anyway.

Mobile devices don't like the menu at the top would be one reason.

Sometimes to get the drop-downs from the top menu I have to logout and then back in again because they get 'lost' - generally if the computer has been in sleep or hibernation. The repeated menu avoided that in most circumstances. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Last edited: 08/07/2012 at 20:05 by Peter Bennet Log in to reply |

iPhone 4S. The menu pops down but then pops straight back up before I can select anything.

Well, I've spent over an hour trying to get it back the way it was, following the FAQ on the Kunena site and the various postings that others have made about the disappearing menus, but to no avail. I can get the menus back but not tabbed along the top like before, only a single vertical column. I've therefore put it in the left column for now.

The left side works just as well as the old top bar.

I've just noticed that the 'recent topics' list on the top navigation bar does not give a full topic list. Going as far back as the East Lancs topic: Top bar gives: Bristol+ SwinDid host, Edinburgh host, Line Closures, this topic, East Lancs topic. [5] However, the side bar gives: Bristol+ SwindDid host, Guess Location, Hitchin Flyover, NLL scrolly beta, NLL TTs query, Royal Train, Making a signal lamp, missing in action, East Lancs topic. My profile has a preference set to show most recent posts at the top. When I click on a topic in the Forum Latest section towards the bottom of the left hand bar the topic opens with the first posting (which could be many pages away from the latest offering). When I expand the Recent Topics part of the Forum menu towards the top of the left hand bar and click on a topic it opens on the page displaying the latest message. Any reason for the different behaviours? “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Not sure whether this is the place but it is a question about the new Forum. I used to receive an e-mail to my nominated address whenever there was a new PM for me to read (just notification, not the PM itself). I didn't get one for the last PM I received (today) and it was only by sheer chance that I noticed the little green flashing icon next to the Private Messages link. Will the e-mail option be restored in due course? “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

I fear something else broke now, since yesterday the chatbox is wider as the left menu bar. This causes the text to overlap the main text area. This happens both in Chrome and in Firefox, but not in IE (which leads me to believe that IE is rendering the page faulty ;)).

Since this thread has moved on to discuss things other than the navigation bar has anyone worked out why the shoutbox on/off button (top left of the box) has 3 states? Green is on, red is off and then there is an orange state. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |
