During the semaphore days Banbury Junction on the Down had a distant signal with 5 repeaters. These were situated as follows. The distant was below Banbury North's advanced starter, with a repeater below the starter, and below the home signal. There was a repeater below Banbury South's Home/Starter,one below the intermediate home, and one under the outer home. They were all electrically operated and it was quite something to watch the 6 indicators follow one another to the off indication. Does antone know of a box with more than that.
