 Bescot holding Sdgs in 1986. Today it's the VQ(Virtual Quarry). This was the typical scene as you passed Bescot on the M6 motorway with rows of Cl.20s stabled awaiting there next turns of duty.  58001 seen here prior to going through the coal discharge plant at Northfleet BCI with its loaded MGR train 7O85 SX MGR Grimethorpe Colliery - Northfleet BCI. This was the first train to come from Grimethorpe Colliery. Originally the train came from Silverhill Colliery & conveyed up to 45 loaded MGR wagons, whereas Grimethorpe Colliery could only load 36 MGRs. This was the only time ever I went through the coal discharge plant without stopping once from start to finish. That all depended on whether the conveyor belts taking the coal away were all working. The tracks to the right are the entrance to Didcot power station. The 4 track main line heading straight on.

 31290+31135 pass through Peterborough working 6E84 0930 COY Middleton Towers - Monk Bretton on 060287. Passing of the Up Fast line is 31453 working 4R40 SX Wrenthorpe Sdgs, Wakefield - Dagenham Dock.
