Hi all I am looking at the Wiki while playing the sim and I can't for the life work out why it keeps saying "Route not availble" when I try and route it onto the up goods from the up main!

Any help to my problem appreciated and I apologise if I have missed something simple.

Regards,

can you be anymore specific as to any conditions that apply? are there any trains already on the up goods? are there any routes set that could conflict etc?

No trains on the up goods and no conflicting routes from what I can see. It's just not letting me signal it from the Up Goods from the Up Main and i'm baffled as have been trying to solve it for an hour now.

I had this same problem last night.

On 2000s mode, playing with conditional aspects on, using the supplied Carlisle 15-10-2009 V1.5 timetable (starts at 0000) by 0030 I was also unable to set CE509 to CE505.

The message box just says 'Route not available'. I also tried CE511 from Longtown sidings to CE505, this being the only other route to CE505 and this gives the same message and CE511 won't clear.

The points are free to move at Mossband as they respond correctly to the individual point keys. Saved game at the moment is attached.

I suspect that this is related to a similar problem reported in this thread. In 1980s era there is a Ground Frame between the 2 signals. If the cursor has been accidentally clicked while over the hidden GF, the frame may have been activated stopping the setting of the route.

It's the curse of the hidden ground frame striking again, as was pointed out on one of the other threads.
You must have inadvertantly clicked on the GF release for Admiralty sidings which is hidden from view when you run in 2000s mode along with some others.

Again, apologies for this. It only came to my attention yesterday that this was possible.

P.S looks like John beat me to it.

Over the next day or so I'll get something into the Manual listing the GFs hidden in one era but not the other and the routes which may be affected.

Cheers Tom/John.

I'm not aware of your re-release plans of course, but I'd suggest that if another release will be some time away, then how about considering adding a screenshot of the whole area showing where all the hidden GFs are to the manual or Wiki? At least that would provide some guide as to where to click in case this or a similar problem crops up until it's resolved.

Thanks for that Tom/John.

Yes, that's exactly what has happened. By starting a Carlisle 1980s side by side with the 2000s one and comparing the images as a guide as to where to click, I successfully managed to cancel the GF release and the signals now clear.

Thanks for the Sim Tom et al and the time spent on it.
