Is there an actual written PDF Simsig Style Guide? If so, is it possible this could be released, so folks could use it on the layout designer programs, and I'm sure it would be an interesting read anyway

However, the Guide is not restricted viewing so Geoff has allowed me to post this link. I have also added a link to the Miscellaneous section of the User Information section of the Wiki. PS I thought the pictures in the D Mail link at the start of this topic were out-takes from Pascal's photo gallery  “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply The following user said thank you: guidomcc |

What is the fascination with layout designers? Doing a layout isn't going to help in producing a sim - it doesn't include a fraction of the necessary data, and a sim author is going to want to do his own layout work anyway because of various factors which won't necessarily be obvious (or mentioned in the guide).

I actually drew Holyhead panel out in notepad before I implemented it in the sim, it's a lot easier to make quick changes and get a feel for how the panel will look. "Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer Last edited: 28/11/2012 at 23:17 by headshot119 Log in to reply |

I think the reason behind this Clive is so that others (not myself) are able to fantasise or appreciate looking at a 'SimSig' layout of an area which has yet to be released. There are a few examples of mockups out there and I think it's just so folks can still admire and dream without obviously being able to play the sim itself. Log in to reply |
