On this day 39 years ago was the Ealing rail crash (info taken from wiki) Quote: The Ealing rail crash was an accident on the English railway system that occurred on 19 December 1973. Have seen some of the pictures of this accident. Very nasty and could have been worse considering Longfield Junction (now removed) was smack between the two bridges (short tunnels) between the two stations

39 Years. I wish it were 29 as that would mean that my 30th was next year rather than 40!
