I always find it funny when trains are late entering the area on drain, as there are no connections to anywhere else. why is this?

Driver needs a P.N.B. (Though, I guess that also be covered by the first one.)

drain covers all of the waterloo and city line. it doesnt join anywhere

As a train driver yourself, Josh, surely you must be all too aware of all the countless reasons why a train might depart a depot/sidings late?

Trains sometimes enter the area late for instance "5E00 will be approximately 34 minutes late entering your area"

And when trains enter the area in Drain, they are departing from the depot sidings.

I guess they could have entered been lowered from the surface via the lift (crane) late...! :silly:

If you're refering to when the enter the area at the start of the simulation, I think it's because the function to seed trains in a simulation had not been developed when Drain was written, so the sidings were set up as entry points to get around the issue. If the entry points were programmed the same as normal entry points, they will be subject to the same delay coding as entry points on other simulations.

I believe that's right.

Might want to have a look at this "capture" from a previous iteration of the site on The Internet Archine Wayback Machine shows a rough time when it was last refreshed - and I belive 'seeding points' were certainly added later than that.

Just opened Drain and saw a train missing.




Perhaps something can be done to the timetable to stop this situation?

You can adjust the delay yourself- edit the 6 to a 0 and the train will enter on time.

To fix the problem permanently, Tick the 'enter on time' box on each timetable, save the timetable and relaunch. You might want to check if the state of the 'enter on time' box is saved though, I think there is a bug that doesn't save it on some simulations.

This is indeed the problem. When I get round to refreshing Drain, this will be fixed.
