Got to go work in a bit so I can't double check the Eurostar cab ride DVD by Video 125, but that contained some shot's at the Ashford signal centre, and the TWM board 'repères' appears as a normal signal like in SimSig, as there was red signal heads and every signal had a 'subsidiary' shunt signal below the signal head

I'd heard they were displayed on-screen as a triangle rather than as a circle. Nice to see a picture of how it really looks though. Incidentally, I have a (enormous!!) SNCF signalling plan of the Calais/Frethun area, prepared for the Channel Tunnel and LGV Nord schemes; on SNCF territory the section boards (reperes) are shown as upward-pointing triangles, but marked with the maximum speeds they can indicate (these systems are speed signalling rather than the route signalling we're used to in the UK). But the reperes in Eurotunnel territory are a representation of the actual boards as shown at the top of the thread. Log in to reply |
