I have gone through the WIKI on Rules but cannot find the answer. 1M01 arrives - DF:0M01, J:0S99, N:1S99. This results in 4 Timetables being required. Now, if 1M01 does NOT RUN, then there is NO Trigger for 0M01 or 1S99 so they don't run and there TT would not be called. What happens with 0S99? It's TT is not dependent on 1M01 so I need a rule to prevent it's running. Note: Within the TT there will be a lot of these, so looking for something that will not create a mass of rules. Secondary question: Does it matter if I have the Join before the Divide-Front or would I need to change it to a Divide-Rear i.e. Does the Join change the direction of travel as seen by the Sim? You're right, 0S99 will run. Which rule you use depends on where & when 0S99 enters the Sim. i.e does it enter after 1M01 has arrived, or is it there already waiting? If you are doing a train arrives, detahes, loco attach to other end then goes off in opposite direction to what it arrived, then what you have is correct, as the SIM will not change the direction of the train until 0S99 has been attached. Would AppAfterEnt work? 0S99 appears x mins after 1M01 enters the area. Then if 1M01 doesn't run, it never enters, so 0S99 never runs. I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either. Log in to reply |

At the moment the Joining train's (0S99) will appear after the other (1M01) has arrived. However, I am hoping to have some of them waiting within the station limits. Dave M Log in to reply |

The problem with AppAfterEnt is that it would also effect the WTT normal entry times. Due to heavy conflict traffic the timing for some of these moves is rather critical. Dave M. Log in to reply |

I 'think' that if x is set to 0, the rule will determine whether 0S99 enters or not, its actual entry time will be as per its TT, ie the rule is just a trigger for its entry.

OK. Setting to zero delay worked for both the "Appear" and "Leave Location", though the "Leave Location" one will require some thought on what happens to that train now. Only option I can see at the moment is "Run to another Timetable" or possible some form of the "Mutually Associated" rule. Dave M. Log in to reply |
