Having just watched an interesting article on the dinner time BBC Look North local news programme filmed in & around Woodhouse Junction, Sheffield telling the story of mechnical signalling coming to an end in Yorkshire. The news article also showed old black & white film footage of Waterloo signalbox in the steam era & also shown were views of inside the York signalling centre as well as the new signalling centre currently being built at York. Hensall signalbox was also featured. BBC Look North repeated again at 1830 on BBC1 where this item may well be repeated.
