Currently got up the London Bridge live map, which is showing a number of berths with TIII or T111 interposed. I'm guessing that this is another 'word' for T3?

" said:Looks like a lot of duplicated TDs, so probably something wrong with the feed.I got an email about dropped messages followed by a brief outage that evening. " said: " said:I have heard through the grapevine that the makers of CCF are none too happy with the public TD feeds as their license fees are being eroded by apps such as this - which work on smartphones unlike CCF. Peter Hicks (the person behind OTT) has been instrumental in getting the information out to us, the public. Oh, and the there is no lag unlike the delays that apparently occur on CCF: I've been online/Skyping with people observing in the signalboxes and I'm getting signalling information at the same time that they say "now!"I would not rely too much on the signal colours - even on Network Rails own CCF system they tend to update a lot slower than the train describers step.Indeed, Coventry area signal aspects on CCF are upto 2 minutes behind the TD steps. Working at West Hampstead PSB I saw several poignant TD messages when Leicester closed and moved to Derby. Examples were '-All DONE' '--AT -THE -END' & 'GOOD BYE-' For T3 I use the syntax T347 for T3 item 47, useful with back to back T3's. Thanks for that screenshot, John. Farnham is my local box and I'm very sorry to see it go.

Was watching Leeds Live & they performed an amazing feat of train movement. Just how did 1P46 get from its position on shot one to its position on shot two ??

There seems to be a slight bug in the Liverpool Street diagram near Bethnal Green. Signals 100 to 112 are in somewhat interesting locations. Also, try following a Hackney Downs (fast or suburban line) train and see where it goes. Feedback has been sent. Log in to reply |

Was I only the one who went on Xmas day/Boxing day to see just how the busy locations looks empty? I was more looking at where was being worked over Xmas, never seen so many T3's on the MML! The Waterloo map was plagued with *X** as was London Bridge, don't know what the sea of undescribed codes was about Log in to reply |

" said:...don't know what the sea of undescribed codes was aboutEvery time a trolley or machine (that can activate track circuits) moves another TC occupation occurs. If these moves are in the Wrong Direction, the TC has occupied out of sequence and the Non-Described code will appear (*X** in most of the Southern Region). This can also be for numerous other reasons a TC would occupy during engineering works. As a signaller, I find it is not worth cancelling all these until the possession is finished. Once the *X** appears in a TD berth, it can't appear again when the TC clears and re-occupies. Last edited: 27/12/2013 at 18:08 by mfcooper Log in to reply |

You will also find that earthing straps placed in accordance with work site protection do exactly the same thing. Paul You have to get a red before you can get any other colour Log in to reply |
