Anyone plays this simulator? I've been playing a while ago, here is the link: http://sim.bemined.nl/ On this simulator, you can act as a driver and a dispatcher on the same time, I really enjoy this sim, hope you guys like it. CTC. B) Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Dullskunk |

I've played it too. The "traffic controller" is a bit too troublesome to use. Traffic control and signalling isn't the main focus, cab driving is.

Well, the previous release had a few tutorial activities but this release doesn't have them... Perhaps I'll try to explain a little bit using the "Evening - Line A". Quote: When you start the activity, you appear in a train cab. You can first press `Ctrl + F4` to "switch on" the cab. Right-click and drag to rotate your point-of-view to also include the "speed limit indicator" and other indicator lights. Now you should see 35 in green, and the red indicator on the speedometer also shows 35. Since you may not know the control yet and you will not want the train to delay, press `C` to enable the AI driver at the moment. At the bottom you will see "<AI>" indicating that the AI is in control.Well this doesn't seem to be "a little bit" of an explanation... but anyway. Been tentatively giving this 'simulation' a go lately, and it's quite good really. Good to finally get behind the controls again now that I'm on seemingly now permanently on Windows 7 - which BVE4, which in my opinion was truly a proper simulation, reportedly does not run on. However, it's a shame that I'm sometimes finding my PC crashing and restarting itself whilst playing this?!! At first, it started whilst playing full screen. I finally found out to how change it to windowed mode once I found the setting to do so, but it seems to still be crashing. Any ideas on this? Net Framework 4.5 installed DirectX End User Runtime installed Microsoft Visual C++2008 & 2010 installed try these, and reply back mate if you made it to work. ------------------------------------------------------------- and about BVE 4, you can Run BVE on Windows 7, just download BVE 5, "bvets.net" and on the website that is a tool to convert routes from BVE 4 to BVE 5, with the improved physics of BVE 5 (nothing compared to Openbve "physics sucks"). Cheers Thiago. Last edited: 05/10/2013 at 01:38 by CTCThiago Log in to reply The following user said thank you: UKTrainMan |

You know cab simulators use the GPU much more than SimSig. Log in to reply |

Just a question for UK train-sim lovers: is there any RUN8 team in the UK that gather in sessions. It's because it's nearly impossible for any european to join US sessions unless you Wake up at 2am... Right now I'm going to try metosim simulator, thanks for that post Log in to reply |

the site is run8studios.com, you have that forum http://www.cmoo.com/dams/index.php There are lot of US sessions, this sim is great because you can work as driver or signaller, the only problem (it's my opinion...) there are no AI But I think you already know that Log in to reply |

I've just tried Metrosim, wow, good game that i didn't even heard of. Thanks a lot for this post. Sims I use so far: Zusi II (it's a pity Zusi III has only a demo), loksim3D (not so bad but there is no Ai movement on the tracks), BVE5 (difficult to find non japanese routes), Run8 (wonderful, very long routes, lots of projects underway, possibilities nearly infinite but... no AI), Railworks (beautiful but not very realistic to my opinion) and one of the best regarding realism: ZDsim Thank you again for metrosim that have its place in my collection Log in to reply The following user said thank you: CTCThiago |

You might want to try EU07, which is quite a nice sim as well.

So, I have the issue where ~ is not in a default location, instead it is on the same key as #... Great game otherwise!
