So far my message has been decoded two thirds by Mr Nelhams (with help from a Noisy I believe hmmmmm  Just leaves the last part to go....

On a more serious note Max, hopefully this has shown how various lines can become known by other local unoffical names.

Paul

You have to get a red before you can get any other colour

On the other hand, the part about examining the line but not authorizing to pass at danger, I don’t know for sure, but could you use that if someone has phoned in from a crossing and not reported clear yet?
A requirement on the real railway is for adjacent lines to an un-examined TCF need to checked (in case of anything lying foul of, or damage to, the adjacent line) in the same way as the actual failure. In this case, the driver can be stopped at a signal in rear, asked to examine the line, then allowed to proceed by clearing the signal. In SimSig, the train will then proceed at 20mph to the next signal and report back.

A pedantic point, but the first train on an adjacent line is cautioned, not used to examine. The driver should be instructed to immediately report if anything is found to be wrong, but otherwise doesn't need to report back.

So I restarted the sim and pressed F3 without moving any sliders. This screen came up:

This suggests that the TC failures built into this TT somehow bypass the controls in the sim. Maybe someone can shed further light on this.
When start a new game in Westbury, the 'Scenario' tab allows you to load developer-defined slider values at the start of the game. These values can also be altered during the game via F3. These are the only ways failures can be altered- the TT has no effect on failure rates.

It sounds like you started your original game in 'Standard' or 'Bad weather' mode, but chose 'Perfect' when taking that screenshot.

Thanks Steamer. To the best of my recollection I have never adjusted any scenario sliders with this sim. This is just as it appears when one first starts it and presses F3. There are no Scenario options with this TT.

Oops - just found the Scenario tab for this sim and yes, it's set at perfect. I will leave it at Perfect for now and wait for the TC failures built into the TT to appear.

TC failures cannot be built into a timetable- the are governed by the sliders in F3. When you start a new game (not loading from a save) you can pick from pre-defined slider positions (Perfect/Beginner/Standard etc.) in the Scenario tab, which can then be altered during the game. These options are completely independent of the timetable.

Steamer, you are absolutely right - I see now this is what must have happened. Apologies.
