I've been meaning to ask this for ages! Most locations in timetables are in UPPER CASE, but some are in Title Case. What does this distinction indicate?

You'll only see this in sims with ARS and I believe it's the locations ARS adds to the TT schedule in order to make a complete schedule for routing trains purposes. As far as the user goes, the case means nothing.

Ah yes, of course, I missed that one (comes from doing too much development and not enough actual signaling!!). The data used do the insertion is not required in a non-ARS sim but can be added if the developer wishes. It is a requirement in a sim with ARS though. Nearly all non-ARS sims (CScot being an exception as Steamer rightly noted) don't use location insertion and thus you typically only see it in sims with ARS. Log in to reply |

Someone has pointed out that some mandatory timing points are missing from Exeter, using INS(ert) I can ensure that old timetables still validate. There are other ways but that probably what I'll do. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |
