1. Depends on how you work it out - as a single play in Scrabble I'd go with Whimple: Placed on a Triple Word Score, and 50 point bingo for placing 7 tiles in one go. 101 points

Good attempt headshot119,

1. Llanfair...ogogoch would win, but I am only going by "official" station names. Don't want to make it too easy :)
4. Correct - Dartmouth (served by GWR ferry from Kingswear) is the well known answer, but there was another.
7. Sorry, there is a longer route possible.
8. There is a shorter journey than Chester-Hooton
9. Bache isn't the station I had in mind. The only sign I could find on google had a giraffe.
15. There is a country with more track underground than Singapore.

Peter.

The same question?

Steamer,

12 - Correct with St. Budeaux Ferry Road and Victoria Road (28m between platform faces).

Thanks for pointing out Q6 & 16, I've deleted Q16.

8. There is somewhere shorter than London Cannon Street to Blackfriars
12. Correct, but beaten by steamer.

Total the points for the letters only. No triple word scores or bonuses. The winning name has more than ten letters.
