Looks like the new Platforms 6&7 came into use today after the Christmas blockade. Peter Post has attachments. Log in to view them. I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Last edited: 28/12/2013 at 19:14 by Peter Bennet Log in to reply The following user said thank you: tjfrancis |

" said:that means Peterborough will have to upgraded to a new simoh no it doesn't! (well it is panto season) We have been lucky recently with 2 brand new sims and 12? (lots anyway) refreshed sims. Just because there are changes to areas in real life doesn't automatically mean that the sims will be updated to match. Data being one thing and of course the time of the developers - who may or may not also be working on other new or refreshed sims in the pipeline and of course most importantly their non SimSig life. has the revised layout been transferred the NX panel, or has any new VDU equipment been used to replace the station area?

If I remember rightly, there may also be a plan to build a new platform on the Up Fast and close the existing platform 1. I assume the existing platforms 2 and 3 would then be renumbered 1 and 2.

I assume the existing platforms 2 and 3 would then be renumbered 1 and 2.Full article about it all on p.20 of January edition of Modern Railways. P3 is a new platform (on the reverse face of the existing P3) allowing trains on the Up Fast to stop without looping. The existing P3 becomes P2, existing P2 becomes P1 and the existing P1 bay platform has been taken out of service. P4 and P5 remain as they were. P6 and P7 are new platforms between the (new) Up and Down March to serve trains on the East - West route to/from East Anglia. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Last edited: 29/12/2013 at 21:05 by postal Reason: typo Log in to reply |

The bay platform (old platform 1) the track was lifted the day after closure to allow the current platform 1 to be extended to where the point work was for the bay.
