I am a signaller at West Hampstead PSB and helped the developers with Box visits and answering questions about the real place. I would like to create PDF timetable simplifiers in use at West Hampstead to raise the realism a bit. I haven't used Simsig for quite a time outside of some test sessions. I really haven't got the time to go into the sim and extract all the details from the timetable, so can someone create something for me to work from and be my contact for questions? Would be better to be the most recent timetable supplied with the sim so I know the layout and movements Thanks, Ray TVSC Link 4 signaller - Temple Meads, Bath & Stoke Gifford Last edited: 14/01/2014 at 20:05 by MrBitsy Log in to reply |

Hi Ray It can be done, certainly, I know there were simplifiers made for the last SimSig meet in Derby, so I have seen them. I think Postal made them, but I'm not sure. I don't have the paid version of West Hampstead unfortunately, but there might be others who can help you. Mark Last edited: 14/01/2014 at 21:16 by welshdragon Log in to reply |

" said:I am a signaller at West Hampstead PSB and helped the developers with Box visits and answering questions about the real place.Ray It's not a vastly time consuming task now that there is the F8 simplifier available in the sim. You can select a location and individual platform or all platforms and a start time and get a 2-hour block of data down. If you use the "Display in web browser" option it shows as a table in your browser from where it is possible to copy and paste into Excel or wherever. If you do this for successive 2 hour blocks throughout the day you can keep appending to the Excel file until you get the full simplifier. I think you can create a pdf direct from Excel in its latest versions. Using that copy-and-paste method for Pascal's West Hampstead TT (nearly ready for release) it took about 30 minutes in total to create simplifiers for St. Albans, Luton and Bedford. I've e-mailed you a copy so you can see the sort of output. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

When you use the "Analyse" button in the timetable editor, you also get a text file that contains all movements at each station, including platform numbers. That can easily be turned into a simplifier.

Thanks for that. I will do the simplifiers in the style and colours we use at WH. I create the simplifers we use at WH so am happy to do that for the sim, but is someone happy to do the sim side of things and pass to me? I haven't been in the sim for ages, my role in later development being a resource in the box to check data and answer questions. Thanks, Ray.
