Thanks for the info. I did wonder if all the points on the wtt needed to be input and went for the timing points that matched the sim and the wtt. The point that BarryM raised was in regard to when playing the sim as a host for a session I beleive, [ as I have not played in a sim session I was not aware of this].

Hi I am nearly through this timetable and I got to say it brilliant. i have noticed a few errors with it, regarding location times. I have had a few trains with stopping times at gretna junction instead of passing times which in turn makes them all late by a few minutes at lockerbie. I cant remember which trains these are as I forgot to write them down. Also on the same topic I dont know if this really happens in real life or not but 4S54 has a stopping time are Penrith rather than a passing time. Im guessing this is incorrect as it does not have an arrival time but please correct me if im wrong. Thanks for the timetable. 4s54 hardly runs in real life when did it was often late and would be looped at penrith otherwise straight through then early to onwards

Slowly working my way through this TT and my 1st problem is just after 13:00 Hours, Train 4E99 enters and loco is powered by AC. When this train arrives at Carlisle it is unable to travel forward to Corby Gates as this section of track seems to need Diesel Traction. Is this an error in the TT or am I missing something.

Yes, It's not possible to send an electric train there. The Limits of electrification are marked in the sim.

Just checked sandy221 and it should be a diesel hauled train. Looks like I followed the train details, [ states it is a 86 hauled train when it should not be].

Can somebody point out to me what the train descriptions mean? Say: 75C86D12, I imagine 75 refers to the speed and 86 to the Locomotive type, with D being double-headed, but what would the C and the 12 mean? Log in to reply The following user said thank you: woodruff |

C is container, 12 is the weight , [ in this case being 1200 tons]. Is the train description confusing GeorgeUk? I only ask as when I wrote the timetable I thought it might add more interest to the train description? If it makes the description confusing I may leave out for any more timetables. What are your thoughts?

B = Both (i.e. a Heavy Axle Weight Container train) C = Container H = Heavy Axle weight - = Standard SRTs The above are also included as info in the nr wtt pdf documents. If you go to the newtworkrail website and search for working timetable, you can look, download the documents. Glad to heat that you find the train description interesting as i find it a question what to put in the train description. Should it be " class 86x2 + 17xFFA/FGA Freightliner 5 set 10:00 Southampton FLT-Motherwell FLT 0r "10:00 Southampton FLT-Motherwell FLT" 0r even " 75C86D12 10:00 Southampton FLT-Motherwell FLT" ! I think I asked once and it seemed to be what ever the timetable writer wished to do. If you want any more info GeorgeUk I would post a question on the forum as there are more forum members that actually work in the rail industry and can provide much more info than my limited knowledge as a SimSig user. I've found a few glitches with this so far: 1) 1M21 (Shieldmuir - Willesden Postal) appears twice in the version of my timetable (firstly 07.40 then again at 08.01). Had to delete the second one. 2) Nearly all passenger trains from the WCML north seem to be running at least 8-10 minutes early when entering the sim, which can cause platforming problems at Carlisle 3) The S&C (Leeds) trains should all be Class 158 units, not 156s. Also the 05.53 to Leeds (2H81) is booked for a 158+153 combo, as it forms the morning commuter service from Settle and points south and gets a bit cosy with just a single set! 4) The dwell time at Hardendale for the first service due there isn't really realistic - it should have to wait there longer to simulate the run round move before re-entering the sim & returning to Harrisons Sidings Last edited: 09/03/2014 at 21:36 by GMac Log in to reply The following user said thank you: woodruff |

" said:Nearly all passenger trains from the WCML north seem to be running at least 8-10 minutes early when entering the sim, which can cause platforming problems at CarlisleThe location tagged as Lockerbie in the sim is not really Lockerbie but is just N of the Kirkpatrick Fleming boundary. That means there is a big chunk of distance missing. If the sim TT uses the Lockerbie times from the WTT trains will enter early because of this. For Pascal's heritage TT we had to run some test trains from entry to Gretna Jn and Quintinshill loop to establish the actual running times and back time from whichever of those locations to the sim entry time rather than using the Lockerbie WTT time in order to get things running to time. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Thanks for the info GMac. I used the wtt timing load for the trains which on the ones from nr 150, for 150/155/156 trains. 1M21, both trains are run as required and need a rule for this, as I had not had any practise on writing rules I have this on my list, when I update. Other items noted for my check list. Log in to reply |

It will go back to being called Kirkpatrick on the next release to avoid further confusion.

About halfway through this, spotted a couple of minor issues: 1S40 should have passing time ticked at Penrith. Timing error on 1M54- booked 1 minute Penrith> Tebay, then 20 sat in Oxenholme! 1E76 is an hour early- should enter at 13:55, not 12:55. I think you're missing a few Northern trains between Newcastle and Carlisle- there's an hourly service between the two. Looking at the current TT, you're missing 2N13/2N24, 2N17/2N28 and 2M34 to Whitehaven. Most of the mail trains included don't run- 1S55, 1M44, 1M03 and 1S04 are the only ones that run daily. I'm fairly sure 1S04 doesn't split at Carlisle. 1M44 tends to be 3x Class 325, 1M03 1x 325, I don't know about the two northbound ones. Other than that, a great TT!
