It's nowhere near the "Down Main" (train 7C233) - maybe for Swindid, but not for Westbury!

Here's where it was in the old pre-loader version.

This doesn't seem to have been mentioned before.

It is nowhere near Westbury Panels area, which is why it is not included.

Well then, why does the TT for 7C233 mention Wootton Bassett as a point of entry if it's not on the map?

(not being a local, I haven't a clue where WB actually is, and don't really care)

As an aside, I think "HAMSTEAD" on the Westbury map should read "HAMPSTEAD".

entry points need to be regularly timetabled points (preferably compulsory timetabling points) so the correct entry time can be entered without guessing. in this case it is Swindon, Wootten Bassett Jcn, then Chippemhamm then Thingley Jcn.

if Chippenham was used, it would not give westbury the correct advance warning for releasing the slot to Swindon, so Wootten bassett is the next point back. it will only appear on Westburys radar when it approaches chippenham on the train describer (the hollowed out tracks around chippenham) at which point swindon will request the slot to be released.

In short, you may not care where Wootten Bassett is, but you don't actually need to, the train will appear in good time. it is on the sim for timetabling/realistic operating purposes, but also correctly does not appear on Westbury's panel.

Because it's the same timetable.

That will really assist newcomers to the sim who waste time searching the map fruitlessly for "Wootton Bassett" - not.

If your not sure where a location is, or the relevance of somewhere, surely just being polite and asking where it is or why it is like it would be a good help,
but going of on one about about how things should/shouldn't be there is a little fruitless.

Still, not going to be having a go here.... but things could be slightly better.

The refresh to Westbury was for the layout etc, the location/entry names have not been changed on this fringe have not changed, with all timetables, it's best to time from a mandatory location, this way it's better for regulation and timing.

Anything I can help with, please feel free to ask.

A quick look on Google reveals:

It's near Hamstead Park, so is correct as it is

Had not noticed that the Wootton label had been removed.
