Hi, I've downloaded the new Victoria sims and also the newest version of the SimsigLoader V.4.0.25. But since this, I've problems after loading a previously saved sim. Trains say they are waitig at a red signal although it's shown green. Then trains entering the simulation but with following notice on the desktop:(e.g. from the Victoria C) "Internal error: Execption 1D07-1 in DoMoving - reason-code SAD (EOverflow: Floating point overflow)" I press the "ok" button and the sim shuts down?? I've still a PC with XP and also several times re-installed the system files! Can someone help me, please! Thanks and greetings! TOBI Log in to reply |

Is this a new game, or a previous save?

This sounds like the locale issues, where a particular Delphi function to read a number ignores the dot/comma setting and thus interprets 123.456 as one hundred and twenty three thousand etc instead of a number betweehn 123 and 124. It's been fixed and is in testing, to be released soon.

For a workround while the fix is being tested have a look here.

Changing such settings is not something to be done by someone inexperienced with computers and may cause issues with other software. There is a fix being tested now and it should be available soon.

When the bug was first identified on the bugboard, Daan (Broodje) was encouraged to make his workround publicly available. In view of the potential dangers exposed by Sacro, would it be wise to add this disclaimer to the linked thread and the bug report? “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

I have never had any issues by changing the localization settings. The only problem I have with it is that numbers look strange with commas and dots swapped around. But then again, I only see this problem in programs 'listening' to these settings, like excel or word.

This failure was with Version 4.0.25 at Victoria Central. At 4.0.27 the failure remains. I've startet with my saved simulation and tried few times to find out the mistake. It could be a problem with the turning train 3S92-3 at north pole junction. Always when i tried to set a route from signal 799 the failure-message appears. After a few new starts the problem is solved. I could send you a save-file to reproduce the error. Kind regards Falko Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

Are you saying you ran a .25 save on the .27 loader? If so that maybe unwise. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

I'm tempted with new Motherwell Sim - as credit card cycle restarts at midnight Demo lasted about 3 mins for me - shorter than advertised 15 mins - but long enough to want this! However, I want to upgrade from SimSig Loader 4.0.25.0 to 4.0.27.0 before I proceed. I am struggling! Open SimSig Launcher (version unknown but shows System Files Version 4.0.14 in bottom right) Double Click on SimSig Loader (core version 4.0.25.0). This opens with a window giving me 'Check for updates' option. Click on this - and 'next' to begin searching for updates. SimSig Updater v4.0,14 window opens to advise me that it has updated manifest and checked against installed files - press next to continue. Do so and I check SimSigloader.exe - app 4.0.27.0 to download and press next. Comes back with "Installing SimSigloader.exe... Could not launch update. Failed to install update. Help please? Hmm, the fact that I've got as far as 4.0.25 seems to imply I've overcome this issue before - but can't progress to latest version! Pinza - running Windows 8.1 Log in to reply |

Close everything. Start SimSig Loader, click "Check for Updates" and see what happens. Things may be getting confused because of the various SimSig bits you have open simultaneously.

Still struggled with upgrading to loader v4.0.27 (from existing v4.0.25) In desperation I looked to the wiki and found this: <Downloading the latest System Files will install the latest version of the Loader and Licence Manager on your system.> Not true! It backdated my loader to v4.0.16 and put my licensend Vic SE into red and unplayable... After much looking around at my file structure, I found that v.4.0.27 was sitting somewhere - just not showing up in the Launcher app. Not a major issue - have created a desktop link to new loader (for v4 sims) and will revert to launcher for anything else - including license manager which hopefully will find my new Motherwell sim when I pay for it later tonight! No doubt a fault at my end for having loader in wrong directory (possibly), but perhaps the latest system files should have the latest loader as quoted? Log in to reply |

As the sims gradually get converted to work through the Loader, the Launcher will become less and less relevant anyway. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Last edited: 19/02/2014 at 21:20 by postal Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Pinza |

Using a 3rd party "launcher" app to launch the SimSig Loader is a bit pointless. It may also be why it could not update itself, depending on how the "Launcher" was working. By all means use it for the older exe simulations but not the Loader!
