I seem to remember that at some point - once Thameslink fully opens, or perhaps after the King's Cross resignalling - they intended to renumber the platforms starting with 1 at the current platform 0, which as a side effect would then actually place platform 9 3/4 on a platform, or to be more precisely, on the gap between the main and the suburban shed.

The discrepancy is because Rowling was actually thinking of a different station when she wrote it, not because she knew now-arcane facts about the station's historical track/platform numbering. I'm using the loader version and I can't see that platform at all. Is it only available in the .exe version?
