Whilst writing the summer 1988 timetable for Coventry I have encountered an issue which affects the running of the timetable. G00MX is a Postal/Parcels train comprising of a Cl.85 loco & 1BG = total length of train is 34M. According to the station working book the train is booked into P1. Loco detaches & runs round the train. It makes no difference whether you run the LE to GPS36 or 46, but when the loco sits behind ether GPS & you then set the route from the GPS to the main aspect at the east end of P1, neither GPS clears with a proceed aspect. If you set the route when there is no train in P1, then the GPSs show a proceed aspect. 1G00MX is not a long train, therefore anything requiring a run round in P1 which is longer than 1 coach won't work. I've altered the stopping position of 1G00MX from default to Far End & Far End Exact & that makes no difference at all. I've looked through the manual & can't find anything about any specific order the move has to be signalled so it does work. Can the sim author give me a clue on how to get the GPSs to work? Will report it on MANTIS.

Further to this one, trying to signal the run round loco behind 36 or 46 from P2 wasn't possible using the white triangle exits - I had to call the main aspect route. I don't have access to the bug board, will someone please put this up there? Many thanks, Keith Edited to add: routes from both 28 & 29 signals are affected. From 26 & 27 seem to be OK. Hi all, having just started running this TT and may I add my two pennorth on the shunt problem? The loco from second train 0S53) is also affected by the same prob. First half of shunt to South End works fine, but second part has same snag as 0G00. Had to set main route out, but able to use shunt sigs 32 and 37 back to P3. Glad I checked for previous posts before raising a separate query. Mal. Log in to reply |
