Platform Sharing 17/05/2014 at 08:33 #60612

Hi all

Just finalising some details before releasing a timetable and just had a query about the platform sharing and which trains need to have it as an activity.

If I have 1A01 (N:1B01) and then I want 1C01 (N:1D01) to platform share would the following activities be correct?

1A01 - N:1B01 PS:1C01 PS:1D01
1C01 - N:1D01 PS:1A01 PS:1B01

or do 1B01 and 1D01 need platform sharing references too in their timetables?

Cheers

Gareth

I don't believe so.

Also, the platform share reference is only for reference- it does not affect the timetable unless it is an ARS-equipped sim.

So you should just need:

  • 1A01: PS:1C01 N:1B01

  • 1C01: PS:1A01 N:1D01

Hope this helps,
DSW.

Gareth,

Just had a look at a some platform sharing in the Marylebone sim, and using your example, the following details should be added to 1C01 only:

None of the other trains involved require sharing instructions.

Thank you! That helps me too!
(When I do a PS, I reference it in both TTs)
That explains a lot! Thanks.
