Currently writing a Summer 2014 TT for Exeter, featuring the daytime working with Sleeper stock.

The NEScot TT is progressing slowly.

Motherwell 1984 is nearly there (the trains all work) but parked for a sim update that will affect timetables.

Christmas project :xmas has been dusting off Kings Cross 'Lite' 1964.
The real public timetable but with current day operating, so not many loco changes and a few other adjustments.
It is up to the user whether they think of the trains as HST, push-pull Deltics :woohoo: , Blue Pullmans :yikes or 309's.

My Elves and I have been busy over the festive period, with testing being undertaken on my April 2012 Victoria Eastern and updating the corresponding April 2012 on Victoria Central for hopefully harmonious chaining. As with Bill's for Motherwell, these Victoria ones may be held depending on what updates to the Eastern and Central sims are being done and whether the TTs may need a final bit of tinkering.

I'm in the process of writing a couple of timetables that have been on the cards for a while & as I've been doing other timetable work for developers I hadn't made much progress until now. I'm writing a KX summer 1985 timetable using the King's Cross station working book for the May - Sept' 1985 period which also gives details of the rostered load for each train as well as the platform number allocated for each service. I started work on this around Christmas Eve & also re-writing my Waterloo summer 1988 timetable to run on the new Wimbledon sim. So expect these at some point in 2015. KX will be finished first as the work involved is less than that of Wimbledon summer 1988. Both of these timetables are being written with UIDs, therefore the train IDs should for the vast majority of trains be just 4 characters, which is definately a step in the right direction.

I have started my first attempt at a WTT - Paisley in 1983 which will make use of the Largs Pre-electrification option as well as having a reasonable amount of local Trip Workings between the various yards, particularly in the Kilwinning/Irvine/Stevenston area.

Good progress has been made over the festive break, although there has been an unexpected delay today - not 'Leaves on the line' - 'Cat on the paperwork'.

Good progress continues to be made with my Paisley 1983 WTT. Here is a taster with Trip Train A17 waiting on the Main Line for Trip Train A23 to vacate the short Snodgrass Branch. Back in 1983 the train could have waited in the relief sidings at Bogside which were removed as part of the resignalling programme.

Willpower withstanding, have made a start on a 2015 timetable for Victoria Central. Key reason for doing this one, the Thameslink and London Bridge Blockades have caused quite a few service changes, with all through Brighton - Bedfords etc routed through Tulse Hill, which will make that place quite busy by the looks...

Let's see how this goes....

Sorry guys, I am in the business of making people wait!

'Fright Lengths' - are those used for Ghost trains?

My KX TT for 01st February 2015 is coming along (319 trains to date) but I am running into problems with it. This is namely because:

- a lot of the platform allocations don't make sense. For example train "A" arriving at a platform where it is then joined by train B. However train B, which occupies the Finsbury Park end of the platform, leaves after A is supposed to do so. Causing much confusion this one.

- OTT not allowing people to enter search times for 2300 or 0000 which is making timtables for those trains difficult to work out as RTT, another potential data source, only gives whole minutes until the train has run whereas OTT gives that info in advance of the day in question.

I still hope to get this one finished. The bloke who does OTT said there would be a major update around Christmas / New Year (IIRC) which would contain bug fixes so I hope this appears soon. In the meantime if anyone has the platform allocations list for Sunday 01st February 2015 then please could I have them via. PM. The NR WTT is no good for this due to the number of variations!

Cheers,
Dave

If you put in 22:59 and 00:31 as search times then RTT does give output OK for the usual time window (-½ to +1 hour).
All you lose are movements timed from 23:59 to 00:01.

Move up the line and you can still pick off the individual schedules.

Bill

Thanks Bill. I hadn't realised that. I just put in 00:30 and got train movements after, and including, 00:04!

For those more interested in historical eras the King's Cross summer 1985 timetable has now got around 450 trains in it. Once I've run through the revised Coventry summer 1988 timetable(with UIDs) which I am currently testing appears to be OK I will then resume work on the King's Cross summer 1985 timetable. I'd like to request ONE volunteer to host this timetable for a multi-player testing over the course of several days prior to it being sent for moderator approval for downloading. I won't be manning any panels, but will monitor the progres of the test sessions to sort out any issues that arise. All being well this online test could commence next monday evening. Will advise nearer the weekend how things are progressing.

Another thing to be aware of on OTT is that it won't show schedules that started the day before. For example, the 23:45 Paddington- Penzance will be listed as far as Southall, but if you look for it at any location after that it won't show.

Personally, I use RTT to list all the trains I need to enter, then find them on OTT and enter the times from there.

So to be clear, are we talking about a modified 2014 timetable, or an actual 2015 timetable using data from this year? This years timetable is quite different.
