There's a couple of items in the Options menu that need their text hints edited: "Validate Timetable" on the General tab lacks a hint. "Show client/server in all windows" on the Display tab incorrectly displays the hint for "Show all shunt signals". There's also a number of Alt-x shortcuts that don't work (underlined letters indicating an alt-x shortcut) - the ones in F4 are actually quite useful, so hopefully this won't tempt the removal of them due to their awkwardness! F4 -> Train Types -> Edit/New -> Speed Classes (Alt-S): Conflicts with Max Speed (Alt-S). F4 -> Timetables -> Edit/New -> Train Details Tab -> Train ID (Alt-I): Does not work. F4 -> Timetables -> Edit/New -> Train Characteristics Tab -> Train Length (Alt-L): Conflicts with Location List tab (Alt-S). F4 -> Timetables -> Edit/New -> Train Characteristics Tab -> Initial Power (Alt-I): Selects the Power Types column instead F4 -> Timetables -> Edit/New -> Location List Tab -> Edit/New Location -> Location (Alt-L): Does not work. F4 -> Timetables -> Edit/New -> Location List Tab -> Edit/New Location -> Activity Editor -> Train ID (Alt-T): Does not work. F4 -> Timetables -> Duplicate (Alt-U): Conflicts with Rules (Alt-U) F4 -> Rules -> Duplicate (Alt-U): Conflicts with Rules (Alt-U) F4 -> Driving -> New/Edit -> New (Alt-N): Conflicts with Name (Alt-N) F4 -> Driving -> New/Edit -> Duplicate (Alt-U): Conflicts with Move Up (Alt-U) F4 -> Driving -> Duplicate (Alt-U): Conflicts with Rules (Alt-U) F3 -> Display -> Show automatic signal aspects (Alt-A): Conflicts with ARS (Alt-A) F3 -> Messages -> Train Location Reporting (Alt-T): Does not work F3 -> Messages -> Event (Alt-V): Does not work, although it seems slightly redundant as Event Settings (Alt-E) selects the same. Well thanks for that, Danny! Delphi doesn't make it easy to find what's been used already so it's "hunt the underline"! Done anyway. I hope. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |

The official term for this feature is Mnemonics. Mac OS X does not support underlined mnemonics. Googling windows alt mnemonics brings up some interesting articles, such as Using Mnemonics Mnemonics Menu mnemonics (underlined letters) on Windows How to activate the underlining of the mnemonics without pressing alt?
