Creating a new window is a built-in feature I haven't used much till now. To do this, select (File menu) File > Show new window and you now have two new views of the same panel, a bit akin to the old screen displays, but much more useful as you can seat each one to a troubling part of the panel instead of panning or zooming to each in turn as you do your scan. You can make all your panels slightly different sizes, never full screen, so that the overlaps are visible and simply by clicking the visible overlapped borders can display the whole window, which after all is what gave Micro$oft Window$ the popularity it enjoys today.
