Weird. I had a train, 7C43, that had WESTBURY DOWN YARD on it's timetable, and it said "NEW" in the line part, so I thought it was headed for the New Sidings. I requested permission, and got told to send it to 7-12, so I sent it to NEW instead, thinking I didn't need permission. Penalised :( What did I do wrong? Log in to reply |

The train should be sent to whichever line the Yard staff say they want it on, which may be different to the line the train is timetabled to use.

Personally, I just send it to where the shunter tells me to. I don't think you get penalised for sending it to 7-12 instead of NEW. Alternatively you can phone up and withdraw your request then phone again and request (rinse and repeat) until permission to the siding stated in the timetable is actually given. In some sims (South Humberside comes to mind) the driver will question the route if routed to the wrong siding so you would need to cancel and re-request in that instance. Planotransitophobic!
