Remember when I first started out on SimSig multiplayer? I was terrible! But now (after only a months practice) I feel like I can work for a real life signalling centre.
Having been a Real Signaller myself, I do wonder how much he underestimates his ability to actually do the job, with real trains, real track, real world weather events, real power failures, real points failures, real cows on the track, real track workers, and real coffee machines?

Click a few buttons; answer some phone calls, not that difficult is it?!

Clearly it is difficult- you forgot to ask how many sugars! Back to signalling school for you

Shouldn't have to ask, you should know how your colleagues like their tea anyway.
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

????????

In a signalbox???????

Explains a lot... the job always used to be done on tea.

Eee, folk these days don't know they're born.

I live in New Zealand mate. I don't pretend to know how to brew a proper British Cup of Tea. In fact a couple of my ex pat British Colleagues (one an ex TPE driver, another an ex Colas and Thameslink driver) had great pleasure in telling me I was doing it all wrong! I gave up in the end...

You would think so, and that is what I had been doing and I was perfectly happy. Nobody expected the English Inquisition (groan!!) and I got told I was doing it all wrong. Ruined my world and innocence that did!!

Sorry guys, I am in the business of making people wait!

Hot water to warm pot, tea leaves, more hot water, decent pause, then milk, pour tea (through a tea strainer), add sugar for the non-believers - please tell me that I'm not the only one?!

What is this strange thing called a tea bag that you talk of. Tea doesn't come in bags it comes in a jar, with loose leaves that you put straight in a teapot.

Of course, the more politically-active hard-left socialists among the signalling fraternity refuse to touch the stuff.

To them, proper tea is theft.
