A revised version of the Coventry summer 1988 timetable has just been uploaded for moderator approval. This timetable now has revised train consists predominantly on all the loco hauled passenger services along with uodated loco pools for this period. I have also added in UIDs against all the trains & also reduced the number of rules governing the entry of trains by using decisions. Variation in appearance of different loco types working MGR coal trains have been added using decisions. Also with the addition of the branch to Prologis, this was formerly the Three Spires Colliery branch during the 1970s, 1980s & 1990s & all the relevant trains have been amended to take this addition into account, plus some additional moves now in the tt following the extension of the line to Hawkesbury Lane. I'm hopefully that there shouldn't be any issues found with this version as nothing was raised on the forum when the previous version was released. Also to note that the Leamington Spa summer 1988 tt has been completed & Joe(jc92) & I will be testing the chaining compatibility of these 2 sims with these 2 timetables, so watch this space.

Coventry summer 1988 V1.0DEC timetable has now been upload & available to download from the relevant section.

Leamington Spa summer 1988 timetable V2.1.1 has been uploaded for moderator approval to the Download Section.
Please note that for the time being this timetable will not chain with the Coventry summer 1988 timetable. A couple of timetable amendments need to be carried out first & then both timetables will need to be re-released for chaining purposes only. So for chaining purposes you'll need to load up the chaining timetables as opposed to Leamington Spa summer 1988 V2.1.1 & Coventry summer 1988 V1.0DEC which are both stand alone timetables.

I'm looking forward to the release of the versions which can be chained.

Coventry and Leamington Spa is a good chain for the solo player with 2 quite different traffic patterns/areas joined a by a single line which requires careful regulation with late running enabled.

These earlier era timetables provide a completely different dimension to the higher frequency, but mainly fixed formation, services seen today.

Unfortunately all existing released timetables for Carlisle in the forthcoming release will be null and void because the entry point on the up has been moved back to Lockerbie.

I'm hoping to get it re-released quite soon.

Can an admin check this please?

I can see and download the Coventry timetable, but not the Leamington one mentioned.

Further to your comments Stephen, during last nights multiplayer test session between the Coventry summer 1988 & the Leamington Spa summer 1988 timetables there were a number of issues found that I will be posting on MANTIS for both the developers of Leamington & Coventry sims to take a look at. Furthermore Joe(jc92) has had to make an alteration to the MOD workings at Fenny Compton Exchange Sdgs so they work correctly. As a result I'd ask the moderator who is going to upload the Leamington Spa sim to the downloads area to wait until this evening when Joe sends me the revised timetable & that one gets sent to the downloads area. Otherwise users may find problems when dealing with the MOD trips. In the meantime the test sessions will continue during the evenings between Coventry & Leamington as there are a few trains that I've got to add to each timetable as they were originally written at different times & as a result additional info I didn't have when I wrote one of the tts, but I had it when I wrote the second one.

Just to clarify,

For Carlisle any existing timetabled trains entering from the entry point at Kirkpatrick will be needed to adjusted to enter at Lockerbie when the loader sim version is released.

No other trains should be affected.

Both the Coventry summer 1988 V1.1DEC & Leamington Spa summer 1988 V2.1.2 have been uploaded for moderator approval into the downloads section. Please note that both these timetables are the stand alone versions. A chainable version of the summer 1988 timetables between Coventry & Leamington Spa is currently under test at the moment & that forms part of a West Midlands summer 1988 set of chainable timetables for Leamington Spa - Coventry- Birmingham New Street - Wolverhampton - Aston & Stafford & as other areas not yet released come along this summer 1988 timetable will be extended. The next stage will be to start work on the summer 1988 timetable for Birmingham New Street.

Thanks Pascal - I enjoyed the 88 Cov timetable and looking forward to downloading this. Your usual attention to detail on a smaller sim gave one the opportunity to learn and understand the workings of that time.

Just to confirm that the Leamington Spa summer 1988 & the revised Coventry summer 1988 V1.2DEC have both now been uploaded to the downloads section. Please note that both these timetables are stand alone versions & won' work chained. There is a Coventry & Leamington Spa summer 1988 chainable timetable currently under test & will be released as soon as testing has finished.

Now the dark winter nights are here I am having a final push to complete my Paisley 1983 WTT and aim to have this ready for release by the end of November.

This uses the pre-electrification era and is based on the Passenger and Freight WTT for the period as well as the Trip Notice.

While there are less passenger trains than the default WTT and the recently released 2015 WTT there are the local trip workings which visit most the sidings in the simulation at some point during the day.

Some minor modifications to timings have been required as the line from Hunterston to Largs was double track at the time and the junction for the Ardrossan Harbour line was the other side of South Beach Station.

Watch this space.

All being well testing can start by this time next week on the King's Cross summer 1985 timetable. Will post an update if it is likely that the testing can start earlier, maybe even by the weekend. Watch this space.

Looking forward to it but please remember forum rules as there really is no need for it.

7) Use of foul language and profanity will not be tolerated; the partial masking of such words (such as asterisks or punctuation marks) will be treated as if the actual word or words had been used. This also applies to off-site links - if it would not be acceptable in the SimSig forums then a direct link to the material is equally unacceptable.
