We're proud to announce our latest simulation: Leeds City! This is a simulation of Leeds East and West workstations located at York IECC and controls the main Leeds station and the lines around. Suited to two players, this also features ARS and is manic! We hope you'll join in the fun and enjoy it.

More details here.

Please note the new method for downloading simulations. Click "Check for updates" in your Loader and follow the prompts. This will install V4.5.7 of the Loader and associated files. You will need to repeat this as the updater itself is also updated. Finally, on the third update you should be offered the Leeds simulation as a package to download. You can purchase a license from the Shop in the usual way. To re-iterate, you will not find Leeds City in the Downloads area of this website. This is to try to make it easier for users to install new simulations.

The features and improvements list for the Loader can be found here.

There seems to be a bug in the install procedure - please see attached screenshot.

Also, there is no way to specify a custom install location. I prefer to have my sims in D:\SimSig instead of the default folder.

If you mean the double backslashes, it's not a problem (certainly for Windows machines, let me know if Crossover or others have issues.)

You can. It uses whatever you set up in Folder Locations - specifically the first entry in the list.

If you only have D:\Simsig ticked in your folder options it will install there.

The time table notes state that a 0445 seeded version is provided but I only see a midnight starting one in the sim, or can we now get trains seeded just by starting at 445 manually?

Slight typo: "will be" provided - in a few days, to try to eliminate any hitherto unseen issues with the base timetable. It saves doing the same fixes to two timetables. But there is still a fair amount of activity during the night to keep you interested!

I also note (no pun intended) the new "note" button on timetables. presumably we can now attach notes such as "regulate for 1S24" or "will overhang the platform at location X" to assist SimSignallers?

Can't seem to find it in the manual but where exactly do we route trains for Hunslet FHH?

EDIT - Never mind, I've worked it out.

Not working for me.

Updated loader as per instructions, the Leeds sim appears as "which simulations would you like to install". Clicked the tick box, then next.Get the window "downloading and installing updates",clicked next, then close, but Leeds does not appear in the simulation list :(

EDIT : I have now got it to install. Have to make sure that the preferred folder is top of the list.

Thanks! For some reason it couldn't install into Public Documents, but it worked when I changed location to D:\SimSig.

Slight bug at Leeds FLT - requested a slot for 4E76, but at the wrong end (922/924 by mistake). However when calling back to cancel the slot, I am told the train wasn't accepted there (it definitely was - and I've since retried with the same result). Net result is that the slot cannot be cancelled down except by setting and cancelling a route, though it does also seem to be possible to make a further request to override it.

I believe I've found a small error in the timetable for 6M04, I don't think it takes over a hour to get from Church Fenton to Sherburn Jn.

Cant get the simulation to show on the panel of available sims in the loader. The updates seemed to have loaded after a struggle and closing/opening windows. Then the Leeds files unpacked but there is no way to access the files ! (Win 7)

Is there a Leeds.sim file in :

C:\Users\Public\Documents\SimSig\Simulations

?

If not try rerunning check for updates and let us know if that fixes it.

No - Leeds.sim file in above directory, although my directory for all sims is : C:\Users\Public\PublicDocuments\SimSig\Simulations

Updater continues to try to unpack the Leeds files when I press CHECK FOR UPDATES. It may be installing at another location.

Having the same problem. It appears to be trying to put the new sim in Program files (x86)\ SimSig
(see attached) but on checking in the folder it is not there. Rerun the check for updates a number of times with a computer restart in between.

Don't use Program Files as the SimSig directories. Windows doesn't like users installing data files there.

Possibly the reason it doesn't come up with an error is that Windows has some sort of sandbox "feature" whereby it pretends that files are there.

It's booked to sit in Milford Loop, the sim doesn't recognise that. will flag it up with Geoff tomorrow
