Hi, I've just run 0D77 around 5D77 and put it back into the down goods loop, but it won't couple to the train again and instead stops short with the status "train 5D77 in front" How do I solve this?

Try this! Click F2. Right click 0D77, select "Timetable Options", Select "Edit Timetable" Click on "Location List" Click on "Derby", At the top of the TT, click on "Set current/next location", Click "Ok" and see if it moves in the F2 view and joins. Barry PS I tested this move and 0D77 joined without any problems! Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Last edited: 24/09/2015 at 01:10 by BarryM Reason: PS Log in to reply |

It refuses to join for me as well. It's location in F2 is still Derby Way & Works Siding but the timetable did step up. I'm doing this in the Down Goods, the loco is overhanging the points. AJP in games Last edited: 14/10/2015 at 22:03 by Albert Log in to reply |

I changed the stopping position to avoid the loco blocking the points when it arrives. As a result it joins correctly.

Try changing the locations of both the loco and the train. They both have to think of themselves being in the same location to start to join. If that doesn't work try telling the locoless train to shunt forward or reverse it then shunt it to create space for the loco. This non RL movement makes up for not having a driver/shunter who can actually see where the train is and move the loco right up to it! Log in to reply |

Hi guys, I'm stuck in this same position and unsure how to continue. I presume the original stopping position of 5D77 before the loco detach is not far enough forward, so after the run-around, 0D77 is overhanging the points and is not fully into the down goods line. But what do I do to fix this? Still learning the sim. Cheers G EDIT: cheated and reduced the length of 5D77 and shunted 0D77 forward. Heh-presto, trains join!
