Hi all, Had a runtime error earlier today on the loader. As a result the following sims went missing from my list of those installed.: - LTS - NorthEast Wales - Portsmouth - Rugby North - Shrewsbury - Stafford - Saltley - Victoria Central - Victoria SouthEast - Wolverhampton - Westbury - Wembley Mainline - Wembley Suburban - Wimbledon - Wolverhampton I have reinstalled most of those, deleted the folders and then readded them but the sims will not appear on the list. They are all in the C:\Users\Public\SimSig\Simulations folder. Any ideas?! Dave Last edited: 03/01/2016 at 19:11 by DaveHarries Log in to reply |

" said:Hi all,When you say "readded them" what do you mean? If you've reinstalled the sim there should be no need to delete and then recreate folders? Could you put a screenshot up of your folder options please? Here you go. The Rugby ones are not on the list because, for some bizarre reason, when I just installed a couple of updates for Rugby, it installed them into the folder for Aston. God knows why. As an aside it is to my great annoyance that, when I deleted the Westbury folder, I lost my Bathampton Junction TT from August which I had nearly finished. Pretty sure I didn't back it up. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....... Also, when I hve reinstalled in the past, I have found that putting the reinstalled sim into the folder that exists for it does not solve the problem of not appearing on the list. The last time this happened I had the sims in the Program Files folder and got the same problems. Short of putting them into yet another location I am not sure what else to do. That folder structure is completely over the top. (I'm sure we said this to you in an older thread about this same problem) You're folder structure needs to looks like this: C:\Users\Public\Documents\SimSig
Then in the folder options all you need to have ticked is: [CSIDL_COMMON_DOCUMENTS]\SimSig You need to delete everything in your folder options below: [CSIDL_LOCAL_APPDATA]\SimSig "Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer Last edited: 03/01/2016 at 19:21 by headshot119 Log in to reply The following user said thank you: DaveHarries |

Will try it. Am on Windows 8.1 so the folder is "Public Documents". Dave Log in to reply |

The folder structure itself will have sub folders for all the sims as they contain saved games and spash screens, but there is no need to specify them in the loader.

Well that's a good start. I put the lot into C:\Users\Public\Public Douments\SimSig and ticked what Karl suggested but could only get Brighton and Kings Cross on the loader. Tried making a folder called Common Documents and got nowhere there. Then tried specifically setting the loader to look in C:\Users\Public\Public Douments\SimSig but got nowhere there either. Dave you need to start your installation again using the .exes. I'm afraid you've messed the installation up way to much for it to ever work properly. "Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer Log in to reply |

Yes! Moving folders around, deleting folders, copying things about when you don't seem to know why you're setting folders up isn't going to help yourself. Save anything you want to keep, delete Simsig, and start again from fresh.
