I've just found a slightly unexpected feature as a result of locking involving T102, P3 & P4 See chain of events below... Train A has previously been sent from signal X110 to X3 leaving points P1, P12, P4 & P11 in a reverse position Train B is routed from signal X110 to X108, locking points P3 & P7 in a reverse position Train B enters track section T102 & P4 becomes locked in the position they were last in (reversed) Train C needs to be routed from signal 2 to X112. When I try to do this I get the following message, telling me the "point(s) are locked reverse by another route" referring to points P4 If I route train C over the square before train B enters T102, P4 is normalised & routing of train C from signal 2 to X112 is successful, thus locking points P1, P4 & P5 normal Is i just a quirk of the locking or is there a way to change it, such P4 is not locked or locked normal when T102 is occupied and P3 is reversed? I get if it's like that in real life, then nothing can be done, but if not that would save some frustration! -RFW The train now standing on platform 2, should be on the rails Last edited: 16/04/2017 at 18:33 by rfw Reason: None given Log in to reply The following user said thank you: DaveBarraza |

All points in an occupied track circuit, regardless of whether they're in a route, are locked when the track circuit is occupied. It's a safety feature of the interlocking.

Thanks - the second points (non-route) should indeed be called normal by the first (route) points for this very reason. Will add it to our bug board.

That will select the point in the list, revealing its name and allowing you to customise its settings. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: DaveBarraza |

Wow thanks I had no idea about that menu, and I'd been wanting to send a maintainer out to crank points for a while. I guess I need to subscribe to the maintenance-grams! thanks again! Log in to reply |

Looking at version info from the forum, wiki & the current data version of the sim, leads me to believe that this issue is still outstanding, but I have not tested this so it may have been addressed
