Hello there, I have read the instructions on how to set up a multiplayer game and cant seem to make no head nor tail of them. I just wondered if anyone could explain it a bit more in detail than the instructions do. This is for hosting a game by the way.

For a game over the internet you'll need port forwarding.
But for a local (on the same network) you just need to know your local IP

Looking to host a local or internet game?

internet...
How familiar are you with your router/router config.

(after port forwarding it is pretty much the same)

odd, but the shout box isn't something I can help you with (possibly try a different browser?)

As far as the hosting goes, you should also set your pc a local static IP (How to Geek instructions HERE), means that you shouldn't have to set up/re-configure port forwarding again. If you are using a laptop & you take it to use it on another network, it can cause problems having a static IP set on your box.

For instructions on how to port forward on your router google (other search engines are available!)you're routers brand & model number, forwarding one of 50505, 50507 or another, but make note of it - you'll need to know it when you do come to host. Choose the same number for internal and external ports, it's just easier.

Configuring the host from the launcher is fairly straight forward & self explanatory (just like launching a single player game
