i purchased the complete rugby scc sim as i used to live in northampton, i am new to sim sig and need some guidance please.
when i run the simulation rugby centre which cover northampton i have an issue that when i have a train to route into daventry int railfreight terminal i cannot set the route no matter what i try!!!! i have looked at you tube tutorials which said about requesting slots etc but still no joy.
the signal to set the route from has a small blue circle under it ,not sure what that is and also the small green hollow circle in the yard which i presume is the slot request .would someone guide me thro the process so i dont end up with several trains stacked up behind please!!!!!

You need to place a phone call to the yard (select either 'Daventry South' or 'Daventry North' depending on which end the train needs to go in), after which a slot will be granted- this is shown by the green hollow circle next to the appropriate signal, which will turn white.

The blue circle is an Auto button- see the Symbols page on the Wiki for more information. You may also want to read the Simulation manual,

For the timetable to show, it should appear in a popup box, if that isn't happening, you may need to go to Options (By pressing F3 or "Show --> Options"), and go to the ARS tab from the right hand drop down menu box Select "ARS Popup Information" and clicking OK and it should now when clicking on the trains TD give a popup with TT information.

As for signal numbers SimSig does not normally display signal numbers on the layout, next to the signal, but you can see signal numbers by right clicking on the signal, but you may need to change a setting in the options again to do to, so if you option the option box up again and this time select the "Control" tab and untick "Right-Click Cancels Route", and click ok. now when you right click on a signal you should be able to see the signal number

In addition to Mark's suggestion, the user manual contains a signal number plan PDF which you can use. You can also search the plan by pressing Ctrl+F and typing in the number you need to find. Finally, the simulation message and phone calls will state the approximate location of the signal.
