I'm in a situation I've had before. On both occasions I've been trying to recover after serious disruption, and have sent several trains down to Popplewell one after the other. Eventually a train stops at signal P2 which never clears. On one occasion there was a train (2c74) approaching from Harrogate similarly stalled at P11. Attempts to talk a train past P2 in the hope that the passage of the train will correct matters fails, as it finds points set against it. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

You have a train coming in the opposite direction (2C14 IIRC) - it's a single line. However, that gets stopped at P11 for some reason, so I wonder if there's more to it than that. Removing 2C14 allows P2 to show proceed and the outbound trains to continue.

Yes, it may be just that there are opposing moves stopping P2 from clearing, although I don't think that's always been the case when I've hit this. It doesn't explain why P11 doesn't clear, though. I'll try to play some more over the next few days to see if I can make the fault, if indeed there is one, reproducible.

Was this problem ever raised as a bug? Working with disruption earlier in the SimSig day, I thought I'd not seen trains onto or off the Harrogate line but kept forgetting to check the F2 Train List - when I finally remembered some hours later there were numerous trains queuing on the Up Harrogate awaiting entry, with the first one waiting at signal P11 for no apparent reason. I've attached a save with trains waiting on the Down Harrogate at signals 261 and P2, plus one on the Up Harrogate waiting at signal P11 off sim. P2 shouldn't clear with an up train approaching as the overlap P2 to P3 extends over the junction and provides a overlap/clearing point conflict. That said, after any up trains have cleared ig shouldn't be an issue "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply |
