Hello all, Just a few questions someone might know about, one main one is does anyone know if there is any pics lying around of Slough IECC panels? I'm sure I've seen some somewhere, but a google and fotopic search kicks out nothing :( other questions: 1. Where are the fringes of the IECC? There is one near Reading IIRC, the others I can think of where they might be is entry/exit points to OOC TMD, one probably not far up the Chiltern single line and one up the NLL link line? 2. are Lines 1-6 fully bi-di from Ladbroke Grove - Paddington? I notice this is mentioned in the NR Western miles and speed appendix but a look in the Quail shows double arrows on all lines from Padd - Ladbroke BAR line 3, which seems to be showing up direction only from Ladbroke to MP 0.45 at least. 3. How are the GWML branches laid out? obviously in maps they (they = Heathrow/Henley/Greenford/Windsor etc) are vertical branches off a horizontal mainline, but in all (if not most) panels, headcodes are only shown on horizontal lines. I am assuming all the branch lines have the pointwork shown on the mainline ect then disappear to another area showing the branch only? Example of what I mean: Now as you can see (on this map I drew VERY briefly!) there's the Branch to Bourne End leading off which ends at 'A' then re-links at the other 'A' to which then shows the branch..am I on the right lines? That's all the questions I have for now, any help, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated, and I will like to add your names to the readme credits once this panel is available for release (although if you help but don't want your name/username added, please do mention this, and I'll simply add you or others as Anonymous). Cheers, James. Log in to reply |

Ah... http://www.broadwaysignalbox.org.uk/junk/photos/photo_index.php?pc=77 - for Slough IECC Fringes to other boxes are West Drayton East (Slough PSB), Park Royal Jn/South Greenford (Greenford East) and Acton Wells Jn (Acton Wells SB) Signalling is laid out for fully BiDirectiontal Working from Ladbroke Grove Jn to Paddington, however some crossovers are now OOU and generally The Arrangement is Thus: 1 Down, 2 Down, 3 Up, 4 Reversible, 5 Down 6 Up. I'm not sure that if the removal of crossovers has limited bidirectional capability - but the potential is there. The Heathrow Branch is Horizontal below the mainline with T4/T5 far Left. Brentford Branch only has the end-of-line signal show, below the line with Brentford toward the right. the Castle Bar Loop (Hanwell/West Ealing - Greenford) is above the line with Greenford toward the Right. The 'Wycombe' Branch is above the line, Greenford toward the Left. Slough PSB: http://www.broadwaysignalbox.org.uk/junk/photos/photo_index.php?pc=231 Only Windsor branch is shown on the panel. Bourne End/Marlow only has end-of-line signal. Windsor Branch is horizontal below the mainline, Windsor at the left end. Log in to reply |
