I've started a new steam timetable for KX and using KX Goods as Top Shed and need to route loco's from there to Clarence Yard. Problem is that with the listed locations I cannot get loco's to stop and reverse at sig 60 without a Finsbury Pk location (even using the GL location) . Services will stop at sig 379 and phone in which will give the option to Bypass F. Park and keep to timetable but is this the only option? Or am I doing someat wrong! ::

Tried testing this and I could not reverse a loco on the down goods however I was easily able to turn the train via Platform 6 without any problems or phone calls from the driver. As a workaround, could you not reverse locos via Platform 6? This could of course mean holding them on the Down Goods for a stopping passenger train before signalling into P6 and then from Shunt Signal K66 to Clarence Yard but it works either way. Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for. Log in to reply |

Steve, I assume they're phoning in to stop at Finsbury Pk P6; you need to tick the 'through line stop' box to reverse on the Dn Gds line.
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either. Log in to reply |

Thanks Andy - of course thats what I needed to do - must stop compiling after returning from pub! p.s. redundancy from June 1 no more local government for me (unless of course its as a v. expensive consultant! UKTM - yes, considered that option until Jinxy came up with the solution - thanks for your suggestion anyway. Now back to the logistical problems. Log in to reply |
