A quick search hasn't brought up anything about this already being mentioned, so here it is:
If I've got a train standing at DB6, and then set a route from DB13 to DB14, I get the message about a clearing point violation.
Am I correct in thinking that this shouldn't happen, or have I overlooked something?

Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.

I believe that this is normal and it should be expected to work just like that but I wouldn't worry too much as it's a common mistake I've noticed/heard about during multiplayer sessions of this simulation.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, however I wasn't absolutely sure about it. Thanks for the confirmation.

I was taught that the following covers all occasions when a clearing point may again be used by other trains:
Passed (Train has passed the signal and clearing point, hence doesn't require it)
At a stand (Train stopped at signal)
Cancelled (Self explanatory!)
Expired (Train has failed and is unable to proceed further)
Also known as "PACE".
