Any tech-type people out there know how I'd go about splitting a 21 minute video into smaller chunks so it could be uploaded onto Youtube?
I have got a video from an Open University programme from a few years ago called "Modern Railway Signalling" which is quite interesting to watch, particularly as they refer to the 'forthcoming IECC' signalling! I'm sure some people here would be interested in watching it!
Youtube won't allow more than about ten mins so how can I split it so I can upload it? I don't have any video editing software etc.

Cheers.

Are u running Windows XP, Vista or 7? If so, you should have Windows Movie Maker included within the package which will accomplish what you want to do.

RE Youtube and 10 minutes - didn't they bump that up to 15 minutes a few days ago? Might save you a bit of time splitting.

I've used Prism Video Converter before which is very good - the same company who made that have also made VideoPad Video Editor so surely that is one worth a try - both pieces of software are from NCH Software.

A small note though - after a while of using Prism Video Converter it seemingly expired on me so appeared to have only been a free trial but when I tried to remove it via Add / Remove Programs (Windows XP) it gave me the option to keep and it still works now, which is at least a year or two after installing it!

Good luck.

EDITED TO ADD;

D'oh! You've already solved the problem as can be seen from this thread. Oh well, can still recommend the software mentioned above anyway.
