Anyone know why Firefox does not always give you the option to save web-site username and passwords? I assume it must be something about the site itself that triggers the thing or otherwise. If that is it I'll get on to NPower and tell them I want the facility- all my previous suppliers have saved passwords, can't understand why NPower would be different.

Checking the HTML shows the password box has 'autocomplete=off', this probably has something to do it.

I think it's something to do with how the form is laid out - I assume Firefox looks for some plain HTML code saying "Username" and "Password" or similar, and if something strange like Flash or Javascript pops up, it's not coded to interpret it.

Then again, it has my email password saved - but I've since changed it. Usually when I do this it asks me if I want to change the saved password - but refuses to do so this time...

Thanks, yes I know how to work the password section of Firefox, the query is why can I save on some sites and not on others. I've since concluded it's something to do with the site and not what I am doing so emailed NPower to complain.
