After a couple of weeks of testing, we've now got the Kunena forum running. Please reply to this thread if there are any issues. A known issue is that the first post of each imported thread from Agora is duplicated. The messaging system is now separate from the forum and can be accessed via either the Messaging link on the left. There is also some integration into Kunena and you can access it from your profile. A note to Developers and Testers: Due to the way Kunena works (using Joomla groups instead of Agora's own groups), you might not have access to those particular forums. Please email me if you can't get in. SimSig Boss Log in to reply The following users said thank you: Lordmwa, AndyG, agilchrist, sloppyjag, Sam Tugwell |

Geoff I'm surprised at you wasting your time on cosmetic issues like this when there are far more important issues like censorship to worry about. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

By the way, just a quick question. Is it intentional that the forum link in the menu bar links to 'Recent Topics' now instead of the general overview?

Particularly useful if I've just got back from 'spending the day on the rails' as I could easily catch up with threads without having to click around the forum finding them. I like to have the forum like it used to be - opening at the index. I usually only want to read the topics about hosted games.

You could always set the Index page up (or even the Hosting section or the Session Details) as a Bookmark or Favourite in your browser and go straight to where you want to be.

Just seen the new look forum and I would like to say how much I like it. As a moderate user of the forum I do like being able to see the most recent threads / posts but at the same time can understand why others would want to go straight to the index. Right, time to get up of the fence me thinks !! Thanks and well done guys for your hard work. Log in to reply |

The old forum is still up, but just hidden. Very confusing for people that are having a bookmark to the forum - it still shows the red conversion warning so I am afraid not all posts made there will appear here.

Although personally I always go to Recent Topics I would also expect that, for the benefit of those new to the site, etc. the Main Menu link should go to the Index. This is the logical starting point to drill down into particular areas of the forum, and is how the vast majority of online forums seem to work. It's no great hardship to bookmark the recent topics tab for regular users. Log in to reply |

One thing ive noticed is that If im click on a topic from the sidebar, "Latest forum topics", which has a little green ! next to it. After clicking the topic from this bar and reaching the topic, when I look at the sidebar it still has a little green ! next to it. I have to refresh the page for it to go away. Is this a possible error? Sam "Signalman Exeter" Log in to reply |
