At the left hand side of the Forum, I have 5 menus, being Main Menu, Messaging, Latest Forum Topics, Upcoming Events and User Menu. They all have an upward facing double arrow symbol in the top right corner, but none minimise when the symbol is clicked.

Are they deliberately inactive or is there a bug?

Thats odd because i can minimise the pannels on the left hand side menu bar with no problems. I did have a problem up to now with not being able to post on the forum but clearing out my cookies solved that. Might work for you guys with the menu pannels.

Seems to be browser related. On the Forum Home Page, nothing happens at all when you click in Firefox (Beta6), Opera or Google Chrome. In Safari, the icons change to the downward double arrow but the panels do not minimise. In IE8, the panels minimise correctly.

Behaviour is different on the other pages of the site but I haven't worked through all of the options (i.e. the panels do minimise in some of the browsers other than IE).

Firefox 5 does not have them minimizing either. It is most likely do to it being built with bad code or specific to IE. Firefox is very stingy about what you feed it. Its either W3C code or nothing. I personally don't mind that thry don't minimize. I would complain more if they did not open.

That's what I suspected. Someone's written their code where IE hacks are being used for important functions, meaning only IE will work! You should write the standards compliant javascript and surround it in IE-exclusion tags, and then write some with IE specific code and include that in IE-include tags.
