If you're using Vista or WIndows 7 the font won't show them, install the newest system files and use the font provided with those.

Found the arrows and stems but not the platform- the only blocks I can see leave gaps between each block. I'm using XP by the way, and V2 fonts.

I am close to finishing my TXT Simsig style track plan for the Wimbledon Signal Box Area. It doesnt cover the whole area, as the Waterloo simulation covers as far as Earlsfield. Currently, this is the area that the workstations would control if this was ever made as a Simsig. South Workstation
Centre Workstation
North Workstation
Also Includes a heavily simplified form of Clapham Junction (Main Lines) used as approach berths for North Workstation. Attatched are some screenshots of the areas. Thoughts and comments welcome Post has attachments. Log in to view them. "Signalman Exeter" Log in to reply |

Looking good :D What are you using for signal posts. I see you don't have any signals as yet, but I can't find the character for the signal posts. (Formerly known as manadude2) Log in to reply |

Im not doing signals for the reason that you have stated (a lack of a character for the signal posts) and also a lack of data for them. At present, I use the Track Atlas provided by the same company who write the Quail Maps for the track diagrams. Tugz "Signalman Exeter" Log in to reply |

Signal posts are (I believe) CHR(128) through to CHR(131) - Hold Alt and type 128 on the numeric keypad. Likewise the rest. Regards, Nicholas Log in to reply |

" said:I get the € symbol. Yes that is the symbol you get for one of the angles (NW I think) and then the SimSig font converts that to the stem. That's certainly how the Sim data works. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

It seems in Notepad it won't display. It's odd, because it displays correctly in Character Map, but when I copy it from there, it transforms into the € symbol.

For the Arrows in SIMSIGv2, use ALT + 0140 and ALT + 0141. Armed with the knowledge of how to make signal posts on notepad, I have made 2 new mock ups. These are: The northern half of the South Devon Railway (Buckfastleigh and Bishops Bridge Signal Boxes) and Paignton PSB with part of the Dart Valley line on. Post has attachments. Heres a large mock up Ive been working on. Simsig East Anglia. Controls from Norwich - Cromer/Sheringham, Great Yarmouth (via Acle and Reedham), Lowestoft (via Reedham). Also features the main line down as far as Ipswich (planned extension down to Chelmsford, Yes that does mean Colchester as well) including the Felixstowe branch and Dullingham/Soham (Cambridge fringes) to Haughley Junction. I have started to add some signals in, all of them guessed due to a lack of information. They are highly unlikely to be inaccurate. Thoughts and comments much appreciated. Tugz Post has attachments. Hello Guys, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I can remember there has been a Manual or Something that explains the "Simsig Font"? Having searched through the forum but not found anything. Has it been on the old Forum or am I totally wrong? Cheers Log in to reply |

There is a new program based on the Unofficial SimSig Layout Designer (USLD) that can be used to draw layouts in the SimSig style. It is easy to use and it includes all the SimSig characters. Two drawvbacks at the moment (1) the layout is in black and grey only - no colours, and (2) it is a test program - feel free to break it! For Windows PCs only, if you are interested in a copy, send me a PM with your email address. Just to be clear, the program is unofficial and is not produced by the SimSig Team/Cajon Rail LLC.
