Standing on New Southgate station yesterday morning, at least three East Coast services passed me by and oh what a horrible procession they looked. Different colours galore.....Blues, silvers, stickers abound and they really do not look good when they pass by. What a horrible mismatch of colour and not a good advert at all. Set me wondering though, as to how many possible permatations you could get courtesy of East Coast at the moment and are there any concrete plans to put the problem right? Geoff Log in to reply |

All sets (excluding those that were painted into EC Silver - for now) will be repainted into East Coast grey, including HSTs.

Regarding aesthetics of trains, I doubt the commuters care.......... They want; a) reliable train service b) approachable staff c) internally clean trains. You think the livery mash is bad, you should see the external state of FGW HST sets, I have taken home plenty of grime after 8 hours of working with them I often wonder what the purpose of the CWM at Kensal Green is for! When in doubt - Contingency plan 2A. Someone didn't buy the milk - 2A. Someone sneezed at Swansea - 2A. A driver complains the cab is too cold - 2A. Unable to operate a HEx service 4 vice 8 - 2A. Points failure at Ipswich - 2A. Landslip at Pitlochry - 2A Log in to reply |
